Blue Hill, Nebraska

Barbara "Barbie" Jean Ware Grosvenor
February 6, 1950 – October 21, 2026 age 76, passed away on October 21, 2026, in Red Cloud, Nebraska.

Barbara was born on February 6, 1950, in Warsaw, Indiana, the beloved daughter of the late Max E. and R. Jean Ware.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Malone University and launched her teaching journey at T.C. Knapp, where she completed her student teaching. During this chapter of her life, Barbara was drawn to volunteer with Young Life, an organization that sparked lifelong friendships and mentorships she deeply cherished.
Gifted with many talents and endless creative expression, Barbara later pursued her passion for art across watercolor, oil painting, and mixed media. She was an accomplished seamstress who loved creating her own clothing and crafting beautiful quilts. Music was another constant joy in her life—she was a skilled pianist and percussionist who always had a song in her heart. Over the course of her career, she also found great fulfillment working as a nanny, gardener, and professional organizer.
Above all, Barbara devoted her heart to being a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker. Her family was her primary joy, and she poured her life into raising her children and doting on her grandchildren. Barbara was also passionate about her faith, using everyday interactions to share Yahweh’s love with those around her. Known for her infectious joy, she brought light and positivity into every room. She loved traveling, frequently sharing vivid stories from her childhood adventures and tracing her family heritage through generations.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Jean Ware; her first husband, James A. Wilson; her second husband, Maurice Grosvenor; her brother, Timothy Ware; and her sister, Anita Ware.
She is survived by her brother David Ware; her two sons, Jesse (Laura) Wilson, J. Nathan Wilson; and her daughter, Bethany (Justin) Morrison. Her legacy lives on through her four grandsons, Jonathan (Staci) Wilson, Benjamin Wilson, Nathan Ziegelhofer, and Max Wilson; her four granddaughters, Michaela (Dylan) Wymer, Gabrielle Wilson, Emily (Keith) Lamp, and Abigail Morrison; three great-grandchildren, Vivian Lamp, Easton Lamp, Lena Wilson, with another great-grandson expected in December; as well as many dear relatives and treasured friends.

Celebration of Life will be held on December 4, 2026, at Greentown Community Park,
9845 Cashner Ave. NW, North
Canton, OH 44720, from 4-7 p.m.
