Bethylene G (Stephenson) Hakanson Obituary (1948

Bethylene G. Hakanson, 89, of Davenport, Iowa, died Wed., July 20, 2016 at Crest Health Care, Davenport. Bethylene was born in 1927 in South Dakota to Willis and Edna Stephenson. She was raised on a dairy farm and delivered milk with her father. On August 22, 1948 she married John Hakanson in Clay Center, Nebraska. He died September 18, 2009. During her husband's college years she was a licensed beautician. After their marriage, she was a homemaker. Survivors include her sons Kirk (Sharon) Hakanson and Jay (Sue) Hakanson; grandchildren Christine Reyes, L. Mikel (Jennifer) Hakanson, Jayson (Julie) Sage, Cynthia Hakanson, Sonia Hakanson, Shawn Hakanson, Kaylyn Hakanson and Robin (Brian) Hakanson Grunder; and great-grandchildren Shale, Victor, Alisa, Alec, Alex, Mikayla, Sarah, Faith, Morgan, Niccole, Nathan, Marisa, Claire, Danielle, Gavyn and Adalyn (deceased). Funeral services were Tuesday 10:30 AM July 26, 2016 at the Edgar Christian Church with Pastor David King officiating. Burial was in the Edgar Cemetery.
