Cathy E. (Johnson) Shaw

Cathy E. Shaw the daughter of Marvin and Barbara (Meader) Johnson was born January 25, 1962 at Norfolk, Nebraska. She departed this life on Friday, July 4, 2014 at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska at the age of 52 years.
Cathy graduated from Norfolk High School with the class of 1981. She held various jobs including employment with the Pizza Hut, Dollar General and Reinke Manufacturing. She was united in marriage with Jimmy L. Shaw on April 17, 2009 at Red Cloud, Nebraska.
Cathy enjoyed reading and knew her Bible. She and Jimmy had just taken a trip to Branson, Missouri which they thoroughly enjoyed and was a trip of a lifetime for this couple. Cathy was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary
Preceding her in death were her mother and a brother Larry.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jimmy L. Shaw of Guide Rock, Nebraska; children: Andy Hart of Norfolk, Nebraska; Michelle Hart of Des Moines, Iowa; Tina Conner of Norfolk, Nebraska; father Marvin Johnson of Norfolk, Nebraska; sisters Marla Johnson of Winfield, Kansas; Janette Weber of Arkansas City, Kansas; brother Vern Johnson of Houston, Texas; three grandsons, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, 10:30 a.m., July 10, 2014 at the Guide Rock United Methodist Church with the Rev. Warren Schoming officiating.
