Darlene Brumbaugh

Red Cloud, Nebraska

Darlene LouRee Brumbaugh, the daughter of Lucile (Wentworth) & Armon Fuller, was born March 16, 1937 at Boise, ID. She departed this life peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2026 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Superior, Nebraska.

On February 19, 1967 she was united in marriage with Glen Eldon Brumbaugh in Gering, NE. This union was blessed with his, hers, and their child. They lived and raise their children along the Republican River Valley.

Darlene was a devout Christian and lived to praise the Lord thru actively participating in her church. As well as giving back as a volunteer at a local nursing home where she would give the ladies manicures and spend time doing other activities with the residents. Darlene's dedication to her family and friends was just one of many incredible things about her. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Darlene also loved her dog, Lucky. She had one of the most beautiful spirits that she shared with all who she met. Darlene had many friends and acquaintances, and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure to know her.

In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and making goodies for holidays such as her Chocolate and Peanut Butter Fudge, that only she could make. Darlene would spend her summers selling produce that she and her husband grew. She would do this with the help of her children, grandchildren, and niece at times. Darlene also loved to be able to go and visit her children and grandchildren. She was even able to go and watch them compete in sporting events and do some traveling with them. She also loved playing cards and board games, as well as going to local Bingo nights.

One of her favorite Bible verses is Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me." She would recite this thru many of her trials throughout her life. Including knee surgeries, deaths of loved ones, and even at the early stages of Alzheimer's. Even though she suffered from this disease she did not allow that to dampen her spirit.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Lucile & Armon Fuller; brothers, Arlon, Elvin, & Eldon Fuller; husband, Glen Brumbaugh; Children, LouRee DoBesh, William 'Junior' McMillen, Kyla Maudlin, Diana Vogler, and Daniel McMillen.

Left to treasure her memory are her children Ruthie (Dennis) Wentworth of Red Cloud, Shane (Carmen) Brumbaugh of Inavale, & Glenda Williams (Rick Englund) of Republican City; many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews; other relatives, friends and acquaintances.

A Visitation will be held at the Williams & Kuehn Funeral Home, 241 W 4th St., Red Cloud on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 2PM until 7PM.
