Matthew L. Johnson

Matthew L. Johnson the son of Darrel and Effie (Helberg) Johnson was born March 29, 1969 at Superior, NE. He departed this life on , February 2012 at his home in Clay Center at the age of 42 years.

Matt enjoyed playing his guitar, singing karaoke, and having a good time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Darrel; grandparents Herb and Velma Johnson, Seth and Edith Helberg; Uncles Dean Johnson, Frank Helberg, Neil Helberg, Larry Helberg, aunts: Virginia Jensen, Betty Osborne, Claire Lane and June Daharsh.

Survivors include: daughter Ashlyn Johnson of Ord, NE; mother Effie Johnson of Edgar, NE; brother Rick Johnson and wife Susie of Clay Center, NE; Curt Johnson and wife Tammy of Edgar, NE; Kevin Johnson of Edgar, NE; Allen Johnson of Clay Center, NE; Uncles Rollie Johnson and wife Connie of Sutton, NE; Seth Helberg and wife Norma in CA, other relatives and a host of friends.

Memorial services will be held this Friday 2:00 PM, February 24, 2012 at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Edgar, NE. Anthony Godtel will be officiating. Burial will be held in the Edgar Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at wmsfh.com. There will be no visitation Matt was cremated, a book will be available for signing at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 am to 5 pm. Williams Funeral Home of Edgar, NE is in charge of the arrangements.
