Shanna Winslow Obituary (2026)

Shanna Mae Winslow, 50, of Guide Rock, Nebraska passed away unexpectedly and far too soon on February 14, 2026 in Red Cloud, Nebraska. She was born September 3, 1975 in Red Cloud, Nebraska to Phillip and Charlene (Hartman) Troudt. Shanna grew up in several states, but Webster County, Nebraska became her home in her adult years - where she built a life centered on family, friends, and caring for others. She was blessed with two children, Grandt and Ashleigh from her first marriage. Later, she married Aaron Shunk, who preceded her in death in 2019. On May 18, 2024, she married the love of her life, Chad Winslow, in North Branch, Kansas at the North Branch Friends Church. Shanna and Chad shared a deep partnership, spending their days working side by side, especially on the farm. She found great joy in helping care for her favorite cows, Violet and Chanda, and riding along with Chad on Tractor Drives. She earned her GED and a certificate as a Medical Aide. She worked in several communities including Campbell, Superior, Franklin, and Red Cloud. Caring for the elderly was more than a job- it was her calling. She took tremendous pride in her work and was known for her compassion, attentiveness, and fierce dedication to those she cared for. Shanna had a personality that filled a room. She was extremely social, charismatic, and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Making friends came naturally to her, and she truly never met a stranger. Shanna took an interest in sports when she was married to Aaron and remained loyal to her Brazilian soccer team and the Golden State Warriors basketball. She took a special joy in spoiling her nieces and nephews. Her heart for animals was undeniable, she loved rescuing cats and absolutely adored her Miniature Pinscher, Trojan. She also had a fondness of Coca-Cola, turquoise jewelry, dill pickles, and chocolate. She also started a collection of frog knickknacks on her first anniversary after her recovery. You could say, the littlest things made her happy. Shanna's life was marked by resilience and strength. She courageously overcame a prescription addiction, a testament to her determination and inner strength. Through every challenge, she remained loving, outgoing, and full of life. On their small farm near Guide Rock, surrounded by her cows, her loving husband, family and friends, Shanna had everything she needed. We can take away a powerful reminder that true abundance isn't found in things, but in love. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Chad Winslow of Guide Rock; parents, Phillip and Char of Guide Rock; children, Grandt Beberniss and girlfriend Patty Pitcher of Champion, MI, Ashleigh (Andy) Danielski of Valentine, NE; brother, Jerimiah Troudt and significant other Diane Even of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Aleksandra Danielski and one on the way; nieces and nephews, Grace, Sebastian "Bash", Serenity "Ren", Kay, Adalee, and Emmie. She is preceded in death by her 2nd husband, Aaron Shunk. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 9AM until 7PM at Williams & Kuehn Funeral Home in Red Cloud. Family will be Receiving Friends from 5PM until 7PM. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the Community Center in Guide Rock, Nebraska starting at 10:30AM, the committal portion will be private. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Williams & Kuehn Funeral Home to help with the unexpected funeral expenses and may be sent in care of the funeral home, 241 West 4th Ave., Red Cloud, Nebraska 68970.
