Terry L. Selvage

Terry Lee Selvage, the son of Richard and Bernice (Becker) Selvage, was born November 15, 1951, near Mankato, Kansas. He departed this life on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at his home near Red Cloud, Nebraska, at the age of 64 years.
Almost a lifelong resident of Webster County, Nebraska, Terry grew up in the Superior, Guide Rock, and Red Cloud areas. He received his formal education attending Red Cloud schools, graduating with the class of 1970. He was united in marriage with Linda Short on April 8, 1972, at Zion Lutheran Church in Red Cloud. This union was blessed with three children, Melinda, Christine, and Delbert. Terry was employed by a variety of agricultural businesses in the Red Cloud area, including Polnickey Farms, C & D Service, Zalman Farms and Feed Yard, Hynek Farms, and Gottsch Feed Yard.
Throughout his life, Terry's interests included playing pitch with friends and family, coyote and raccoon hunting, boating, fishing, raising cattle, and gardening. His greatest love and enthusiasm in life was for his family, and he especially treasured the time they spent together.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda; his daughters, Melinda and husband Darren, and Christine; and his son Delbert and wife Kristina. Also surviving are five granddaughters, Callie, Johanna, Phoebe, and Nora Selvage, and Kira Lorence, in addition to other relatives and a host of friends.
Memorial services were held Tuesday 2:00 p.m., June 28, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Red Cloud, Nebraska with Pastor Ron Kuehner officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
