Wilma Jane Trausch

Wilma Trausch was born Wilma Brown in Inavale, NE on July 23, 1926. She was the 3rd of 3 children born to Earl and Mildred Brown. Her parents, and her brothers Vernon and Dale have preceded her in death. She grew up on the family farm near Womer, Kansas, attending school in the local Community. As a teenager, she left the famliy home to work at a defense plant in Oklahoma City, OK, during World War II.

She met and married Rex Kugler on February 1, 1946. They had four children from this union. and remained married until his untimely death October 18th 1977. They had spent 31 years together and had planned on his early retirement.

On June 23, 1982, she married Maurice Trausch. They lived for most of the next 26 years together at his horne in Roseland, NE. In the last couple of years, Wilma was in poor health. and resided at the Campbell nursing Care faciliity until her death. Maurice remained a devoted husband, spending many hour's visiting with her at the care facility. He would take her back to their home for meals when she was physically able to spend time there.

Wilma identified her most important roles in life as being a wife and mother. She prided herself on being there for her children when they needed her.

Having grown up and having lived through the depression and World War II, Wilma lived through sorne difficult times. She was a. hard worker, and spent muchh of her time caring for her home, husband and children. She did not complaim and took this responsibility very seriously. In her later years, she enjoyed taking dancing lessons, playing cards with friends, and traveling with Maurice. They had many pleasure trips and vacations spent visiting with family members.

She is survived by her husband Maurice Trausch of Roseland, NE. Her children; Robert Kugler and his wife Comne of Cimarron, KS, Roger Kugler o:f and his wire Anne of Salina, KS, Vicki Kugler of Colorado Springs, CO, and Randy Kugler of Hastings, NE,
5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren one sister in law, 2 stepchildren and their
families.

Funeral services were held Thursday 10:00 a.m., August 7l, 2008 at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Red Cloud with Pastor Barry Rempp officiating. Burial was in the Red Cloud Cemetery.
